There are two currencies in CUBEES:
- CuCoins, in gold: the everyday money.
- CuCrystals, in pink: the rarer one.
Both are kept in your wallet, which is saved with your account. You can see your balances on the Cubee's Wallet tile, which sits on the /cubees menu, on the shop front and at the bottom of every shop category.
Coin items and the Wallet
Some CuCoins turn up as items you can hold, such as the coins a wild Cubee drops. To add them to your balance, hold them and click any Cubee's Wallet tile. The whole stack in your hand goes in, and the chat shows your new balance. A CuCrystal item works the same way.
By default each item is worth:
- Copper CuCoin: 1 CuCoin
- Silver CuCoin: 100 CuCoins
- Golden CuCoin: 1,000 CuCoins
- CuCrystal: 1 CuCrystal
Each item's description shows what it is worth. Until you deposit them, coin items are ordinary items in your inventory.
Earning CuCoins
- Habitats. Cubees living in your habitats earn CuCoins on a timer; right-click them to collect. Your server can switch a Cubee's habitat earnings off, and its Habitat button then says so. See Habitats.
- Quests. Daily and Story quests often pay CuCoins. See Quests.
- Wild Cubees. A defeated wild Cubee has a 35% chance by default to drop coins: usually 1 to 9 Copper CuCoins, and sometimes (10% of drops by default) one Silver CuCoin. See Wild Cubees.
- Some Cubees earn CuCoins themselves, through their ability, passive or combo: some dig coins up while you explore, some Arcade Cubees play a minigame that pays out by how well you play. Each Cubee's Catalogue page says whether it does.
- Cubiks. If a Cubik rolls a Cubee you already own, you may get a consolation prize instead, often CuCoins. See Cubiks.
- The shop. Your server may sell products that pay CuCoins straight into your wallet.
- Staff. Server staff can add CuCoins to your wallet.
Earning CuCrystals
The ready-made quests and Cubiks pay CuCoins, so CuCrystals come from whatever your server adds:
- quest rewards
- Cubik consolation prizes
- shop products that pay CuCrystals
- CuCrystal items, deposited at the Wallet
- staff
Spending CuCoins
- The shop. See The Shop.
- Cubits. A Cubee's Cubit costs 100 CuCoins by default, from the Cubit button on its menu, once the Cubee has reached 10% vitality. See The Cubee Menu & Cubits.
- Redrawing your Daily quests: 300 CuCoins by default.
- Recover Now, in the Combos menu. A Cubee that falls needs 30 seconds by default to recover; for 1,000 CuCoins by default, Recover Now wakes both Cubees of your selected combo straight away. You only pay if one of them is still resting. See What is Cubee?
- Arcade games. Each game costs a share of the most it can pay out.
- A few Cubees whose ability costs CuCoins every time it fires. Each Cubee's Catalogue page says so, with its default price.
- A few Cubees that sell things themselves, such as the Villager Cubee's snack stall. Their card gives the price.
If you cannot afford something, the chat tells you so and nothing is taken.
Spending CuCrystals
CuCrystals are spent in the shop, on products priced in CuCrystals. Nothing else takes them.
Good to know
- There is no command for sending CuCoins or CuCrystals to another player.
- The shop can also sell coin items that take CuCoins back out of your wallet, if your server stocks them.
- Staff can add to, take from or set any player's balances.
