Every Cubee in the collection also has a wild form: an untamed Cubee with no owner, which fights for itself. A wild Cubee is easy to spot. It is half again as big as a pet Cubee, and it always shows its name and a health bar with its icon.
Where to find them
Wild Cubees are not scattered across the world on their own. They only appear where your server puts them, for example at a spawner in a special area, or during an event. If you have never met one, ask your server's staff where they live.
How they behave
Each kind of Cubee has a temper, which decides how its wild form treats you:
- Passive: wanders about and looks around. If something hurts it, it runs away from its attacker. It never uses its ability.
- Neutral: leaves you alone until you or your Cubees hurt it. Then it fights back, with its attacks and its ability.
- Aggressive: comes after players on sight, attacking and using its ability.
By default, 133 kinds are Aggressive, 44 are Neutral and 18 are Passive. Most Fighters are Aggressive, every Booster is Neutral, and nearly all Helpers are Passive or Neutral. Your server can change any Cubee's temper, and no menu shows it, so approach a wild Cubee with care.
A few more things about their manners:
- Wild Cubees never fight each other.
- They have no owner, so they ignore the allies you mark with a Cubit.
- They can hurt you, and they can hurt your Cubees too, unless your server has made owned Cubees immune to damage.
Tougher than pets
A wild Cubee is built to be a real fight. By default:
- It has 90 to 120 health. A pet Cubee starts at 20 to 26 and reaches 45 to 56 at full vitality, so a wild one has about twice the health of a fully grown pet.
- Its ability hits as hard as a pet of the same kind at 100% vitality.
- Most wild Cubees use their ability more often than pets do, because their cooldown is a few seconds shorter.
Element matchups count against wild Cubees too: bring a Cubee whose element beats the wild one's, and it deals more damage. The Know Your Cubees tile in the Cubees List shows which element beats which; see What is Cubee?
Fighting one
- Set your Cubees on it: hold a Cubit and left-click the wild Cubee. See The Cubee Menu & Cubits.
- In an Auto mode, your Cubees go after it by themselves once it attacks you or you hit it. In a Friendly mode they wait for your Cubit. See What is Cubee?
- A wild Cubee counts as a mob, so even a Cubee set to Mobs Only will fight it.
- You can hit it yourself, too.
When you win
A beaten wild Cubee is knocked out rather than killed: it slumps over with dizzy stars for about five seconds, then vanishes in a puff.
- It may drop coins. By default there is a 35% chance of a drop, which is usually 1 to 9 Copper CuCoins, and sometimes (10% of drops) one Silver CuCoin. Pick them up and deposit them at the Wallet; see Currencies.
- If your Cubee was in on the kill, it counts toward quests that ask you to defeat mobs. See Quests.
Can I catch one?
No. A wild Cubee cannot be caught or tamed, and a knocked-out one cannot be picked up. You add Cubees to your collection by buying them in the shop, earning them as quest rewards, or winning them from Cubiks. See The Shop, Quests and Cubiks.
