What a Cubik is
A Cubik is a reward box that stands in the world. Open it and it gives you one Cubee, picked at random from the Cubees it holds. Your server's staff set up and place the Cubiks, and a server can have up to 225 different ones.
Each Cubik has one of four looks: Wooden, Iron, Golden or Diamond. The look is decoration only. What a Cubik can give you is set for each Cubik on its own.
Reading a Cubik
Walk up to a Cubik and you can see:
- its name, floating above it;
- the icons of the Cubees it can give, arranged around it;
- the chance of each reward, as a percentage in the colour of its tier.
There are five tiers, from least to most rare:
- Common (pale cyan)
- Rare (blue)
- Epic (purple)
- Legendary (orange)
- Supreme (red)
Some rewards are kept secret. A reward can show ??? instead of its chance, or a mystery icon instead of the Cubee.
Keys
A Cubik can ask for a key, and the ready-made ones all do. A Cubik Key is cut for one particular Cubik, so it won't open any other. A server can also set a Cubik to open for free, with no key at all.
- The Shop's Cubiks category is where keys are sold. The Shop menu sums it up as "keys that open reward Cubiks".
- Keys can also come from quests or from your server's staff.
- Every key says which Cubik it opens, and some keys also list that Cubik's possible rewards.
- One key opens its Cubik once. The key is only used up when the roll works. If something goes wrong, the Cubik tells you your key was not taken.
Opening a Cubik
- Hold the Cubik's key in your hand.
- Right-click the Cubik.
- Step back and watch. The Cubik opens with a show that matches the tier you rolled, and the rarer the tier, the longer the show.
- Your Cubee appears above the Cubik for a few seconds, and chat tells you what you won.
If you are not holding the right key, the Cubik tells you which key it needs and pushes you back.
Only one person can open a Cubik at a time, and you can only open one Cubik at a time.
What you win
Every reward is a Cubee.
- A Cubee you don't own yet is unlocked for you straight away. Find it in the Cubees List and take it along.
- A Cubee you already own pays a consolation prize instead, if that Cubik has one: CuCoins, CuCrystals, an item, or another reward your server chose. If it has none, you get "Better luck next time!"
When you win a new Cubee at the Epic, Legendary or Supreme tier, the whole server sees a congratulations message. A Cubik can also announce a reward in its own words, the first time you win that Cubee.
The ready-made collection Cubiks
The pack comes with six ready-made Cubiks that your server may use:
- Starter Cubik (Wooden)
- Biomes I Cubik (Iron)
- Biomes II Cubik (Golden)
- Biomes III Cubik (Golden)
- Nether Cubik (Diamond)
- End Cubik (Diamond)
Each one holds the eight Cubees of one collection pack, with the same odds:
- three Common rewards, about 20.6% each;
- two Rare rewards, about 11.3% each;
- two Epic rewards, about 6.2% each, with the chance hidden;
- one Legendary reward, about 3.1%, with both the icon and the chance hidden.
A duplicate pays 50 CuCoins for a Common, 100 for a Rare, 200 for an Epic and 400 for a Legendary. Your server can change any of this.
