What a Cube is

A Cube is a gem you socket into one of your Cubees. While it sits there, that Cubee keeps the Cube's strength: harder hits against one element, a tougher hide, a faster ability, and more.

There are 24 Cubes, in two families:

  • Elemental Cubes: one for each of the 11 elements, such as the Cube of Fire or the Cube of Ice, plus the Cube of Elements, which works with any element.
  • Cuboss Cubes: 12 special Cubes, each with an effect of its own, such as the Cube of Golem or the Cube of Void.

Each Cube's lore tells you what it does, so hover over it in your inventory to check.

Getting Cubes

Cubes are items, and your server decides how they are handed out. A server can sell them in the Shop, pay them out as quest rewards, or have its staff give them to you. If you can't find any, ask on your server.

Socketing a Cube

Every Cubee's menu has a Cube tile, named "Cube of" and the Cubee's name.

  1. Open the Cubee's menu. Right-click the Cubee while holding the Cube (an empty hand works too), or right-click its tile in the Cubees List.
  2. With the Cube in your hand, left-click the Cube tile.
  3. The Cube leaves your hand, and chat confirms it. The tile now shows the Cube next to "Equipping Cube", with its effect listed underneath.

A few rules:

  • Right-click the Cube tile to reclaim the Cube. It goes back into your inventory.
  • Socketing a new Cube into a Cubee that already has one gives you the old Cube back first.
  • The change takes effect the next time you summon that Cubee. If it is out right now, send it away and call it again.
  • You can only socket a Cube into a Cubee you have collected.
  • The Cube stays in that Cubee until you reclaim it, so you can give each of your Cubees its own.

Elemental Cubes

Each Elemental Cube belongs to one element. By default, a Cubee carrying one:

  • deals 20% more damage to Cubees of that element;
  • takes 12% less damage from Cubees of that element;
  • gets Resonance when the Cubee has that element itself: 25% more damage from its ability, against any target.

The eleven:

Cube of Light

Cube of Light: for ☀ Light.

Cube of Darkness

Cube of Darkness: for 🌑 Darkness.

Cube of Magic

Cube of Magic: for ✦ Magic.

Cube of Kinetic

Cube of Kinetic: for 💥 Kinetic.

Cube of Earth

Cube of Earth: for ⛰ Earth.

Cube of Electric

Cube of Electric: for ⚡ Electric.

Cube of Water

Cube of Water: for 💧 Water.

Cube of Fire

Cube of Fire: for 🔥 Fire.

Cube of Ice

Cube of Ice: for ❄ Ice.

Cube of Poison

Cube of Poison: for ☠ Poison.

Cube of Nature

Cube of Nature: for 🍃 Nature.

There are two good ways to use one:

  • Match the Cube to your Cubee's own element for Resonance.
  • Pick the element your Cubee loses to, to soften that matchup. For example, a 🔥 Fire Cubee carrying a Cube of Water hits 💧 Water Cubees harder and takes less from them. See What is Cubee? for who beats whom.

Cube of Elements

Cube of Elements

The Cube of Elements makes your Cubee's own element count for more, whatever that element is. By default, a Cubee carrying it:

  • deals 25% more damage to Cubees whose element its own element beats;
  • takes 25% less damage from Cubees whose element beats its own.

This comes on top of the usual element advantage, and only between Cubees. A Cubee with no element gets nothing from it. It ships with the Elemental Cubes.

Cuboss Cubes

The numbers below are the defaults.

Cube of Conduit

Cube of Conduit: while your Cubee or you are in water, or out in the rain, it heals 2 health a second. You also have Conduit Power while it is out.

Cube of Crystal

Cube of Crystal: sends 15% of every hit it takes back at the attacker.

Cube of Feral

Cube of Feral: below half health it goes into a frenzy, with 25% more damage and 25% shorter cooldowns, but it takes 20% more damage.

Cube of Frosty

Cube of Frosty: every hit slows the target for 2 seconds, with a 12% chance to freeze it in place for a second.

Cube of Golem

Cube of Golem: shrugs off 12% of all damage, and another 25% once it drops below a fifth of its health.

Cube of Imperial

Cube of Imperial: against a foe with fewer health points than itself, it hits 20% harder (this part only counts against other Cubees). It also takes 15% less damage from any attacker with fewer health points than itself.

Cube of Inferno

Cube of Inferno: deals 50% extra damage to targets that are on fire.

Cube of Rubiks

Cube of Rubiks: each time the Cubee uses its ability, it rolls one boon for 8 seconds: 15% more damage, 15% less damage taken, or 15% shorter cooldowns.

Cube of Runic

Cube of Runic: its ability recharges 20% faster.

Cube of Slime

Cube of Slime: gives a 15% chance that an incoming hit does no damage at all.

Cube of Undead

Cube of Undead: when your Cubee would fall, it cheats death and gets back up with 30% of its health.

Cube of Void

Cube of Void: stores 25% of the damage it takes and adds all of it to its next hit.

Limits

  • One Cube per Cubee.
  • Boons that add damage only help a Cubee whose ability deals damage. A Cubee whose ability heals, shields or helps you still gets the defensive boons.
  • However many cooldown boons stack up, an ability's cooldown never drops below 25% of its normal length by default.
  • The Cube of Void adds at most 40 damage to one hit by default.
  • After the Cube of Undead saves a Cubee, that Cubee must wait 15 minutes by default before it can cheat death again. It is ready again the first time you summon it after that.
  • The numbers on the Cube tile are written when you socket the Cube. If your server changes a Cube's values later, reclaim the Cube and socket it again to see the new numbers.
